Full time permanent carpenter requires for our busy company in Auckland. The minimum work hour will be 30 hours per week and maximum will be 50 hours per week. The minimum wage is $30.00 ph and maximum wages will be $35.00ph based on experience. Candidate should pass a background check and be physically fit. New Zealand citizen or resident will be preferable.

Tasks Include:

1.                 Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed

2.       Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements

3.                 Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items

4.                 Lay out floorings, roofings or drywalls ensuring they are levelled and compatible

5.                 Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated

6.                 Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames

7.                 Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance

8.                 Build scaffolding and other construction structures

9.                 Proven experience as carpenter

10.             Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials

11.             Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)

12.             Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times and comply with all Company safety requirements and procedures

13.             Maintain clean and tidy work area.

14.             The use of PPE (which includes wet weather gear) will allow the employee to work in all climatic or environmental conditions unless deemed unsafe by Safety Supervisor.

15.             Participate in improvements that enhance product quality within the time envelope and optimise the labour and material resources required.

 SKILLS REQUIRED:

·         At least three years relevant experience.
