We are seeking 1 reliable and motivated Excavator Operator & Plumbing Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support qualified plumbers in a variety of residential and commercial plumbing projects across the Auckland region.

This is a great opportunity for someone with at least one year of plumbing experience in New Zealand who is looking to grow their skills in a supportive and professional environment.

 

Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Days Required: Mon to Sat, 30 - 50 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed plumbers with day-to-day plumbing work, including installations, maintenance, and repairs

  • Transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites

  • Able to operate an excavator and compactor

  • Measure, cut, and fit piping under supervision

  • Help inspect and test plumbing systems for leaks and compliance

  • Clean and maintain tools, work vehicles, and work areas

  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures

  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients when required

Requirements:

  • Must have a Minimum of 1 year of plumbing experience in New Zealand 

  • A valid NZ driver’s licence is preferred, and it will be an advantage if you can drive Class 2 Truck

  • Basic understanding of plumbing systems and tools

  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in different environments

  • Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team

  • Good time management and communication skills

  • Eligible to apply for or currently holding an AEWV

  • Commitment to workplace health and safety

  • Priority will be given to NZ citizens/residents.
