Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports skilled carpenters on construction projects by performing tasks like measuring and cutting materials, preparing work areas, holding materials in place

  • Gathering, organizing, and transporting construction materials to the worksite

  • Operating power tools under supervision

  • Cleaning up the worksite, and generally assisting with the assembly and installation of wood structures

  • Operating basic power tools like drills, saws, and sanders under supervision. 

  • Adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment

  • Observing experienced carpenters to learn carpentry techniques and best practices. 

 Requirements:

  • No experience required but relevant experience is preferred
  • Mandarin speaking is preferred 
  • Be flexible towards working hours, especially working on weekends and different places in Auckland
  • Mature, responsible, strong can work under pressure and under the sunshine.

Other details:

  • Term: Permanent
  • Minimum Working Hours: At least 30 hours per week from Monday to Saturday
  • Salary: $28.00 per hour--$30.00 per hour
  • Place: Auckland
