Supervisor

Bajwa Horticulture Limited are looking for a Team Supervisor (Full time Permanent position minimum 30 hours a week @ $28 to $32 per hour) with exceptional skills to add value to their team and assist in the current operations. Bajwa Horticulture Limited has a team of orchard workers and also hire extra casual workers to perform different types of work in orchard on seasonal basis as per requirement like winter pruning, harvesting, summer pruning and spraying etc. We are looking who is caring, people-orientated, focused, organized, and great at multitasking and would be well suited to this role for a person .What does the role involve?

1.       Directing and coordinating the workers.

2.       Reporting directly to the management daily

3.       Ensuring work is completed in a timely and effective manner to ensure company production goals are met.

4.       Completion and filing of worksheets.

5.       Guiding the workers with operation involvement as required.

6.       Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring a high standard of practice for all workers.

7.       Ensure all tools and equipment are reviewed regularly to ensure staff safety.

8.       Ensuring knowledge is kept up to date, implementing and making suggestions for new policies

9.       Lead the team and instruct the workers to do the tasks as expected of them.

10.   Maintaining a safe working environment and practices for all workers

What skills and experience are we looking for?

Anyone having One Year Experience as a Supervisor, preferably in Horticulture, Agriculture, or farming Management.  Qualities required for this position:

Confident,

Good at multi-tasking

Caring towards workers

Motivated and able to follow a routine.

Able to show initiative and make decisions.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

This is a full-time permanent position with a worksite based in the wider Bay of Plenty region, requiring the successful applicant to work a minimum of 30 hours per week
