We are hiring for AWESOME KITCHENS LIMITED, a high-end kitchen cabinetry manufacturing company based in Onehunga, Auckland. We specialise in the design, fabrication, and installation of custom-made kitchens and built-in cabinetry for both residential and commercial projects. To support our growing production demand, we are seeking skilled Cabinet Carpenter to join our team.

Job Location:                        Auckland

Number of people need:   9

Employment Type:               Full-time, Permanent

Days Required:                     Needs to be available from Monday to Saturday, between 7:30am to 6:30 pm

                                               May need to work during weekends or public holidays; 

Hourly Rate:                          $30 - $35

Hours per Week:                   Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week. Up to 50 hours per week.

 

Key Responsibilities include:   

• Reading and interpreting architectural drawings and cabinetry specifications
• Measuring, marking, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials for kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, and storage units
• Operating woodworking machines and hand tools for cutting, joining, and finishing timber and panel products
• Assembling cabinet components using glues, nails, screws, hinges, and fittings
• Performing edge banding, laminating, and finishing tasks to meet design specifications
• Installing completed cabinetry onsite with accuracy and care
• Ensuring work quality meets company standards and client expectations
• Following health and safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised workshop

 

Requirements for the applicants:

• Minimum 3 years of cabinetmaking or joinery experience OR completion of a cabinetmaking qualification or trade certificate
• Proficiency in reading construction drawings and using woodworking tools and machines
• Skilled in assembling and installing cabinetry systems with precision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Physically fit and capable of handling panels and tools in a busy production setting
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel for onsite installation work preferred
• Ability to attend an onsite interview preferred
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and within a team
