We (Govind Enterprise Ltd) are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Sales Assistant (2 positions available), a motivated and committed person to join our team in our store in Christchurch. We operate multiple superette stores within Christchurch City. You will assist with the store's operation during your shift and provide excellent customer service. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week with a pay rate between $25 - and $27p/h.

Your tasks include:

  1. Greeting and serving customers, answering inquiries, and providing product information.
  2. Determining customer requirements and advising on available range and price.
  3.  Accepting payment by cash and EFTPOS.
  4. Maintaining store appearance, stocking shelves and organizing displays.
  5.  Maintaining a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff.
  6. Checking IDs to verify customers meet legal age requirements for purchasing alcohol.
  7. Keeping inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
  8. Resolving customer complaints and issues in a professional manner.

Skills and experience required:

  1. 1 year of Sales or customer service experience preferred.
  2. Relevant qualifications preferred.
  3. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to lift and move heavy boxes of products.
  5. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
