We are looking for senior tradesman that can take charge of projects and a committed team to work on pipe work, structural steel jobs and other bespoke projects that can along. The jobs will give you a variety of work to keep you interested, challenged and rewarded. You need to be just as good at fabrication as you are at welding. As you will take responsibility for the jobs/projects from the start to the end of installation. You will be treated with respect and dignity for a job well done. Your Experience would include: > Fitting, Welding and Fabrication in both a plant-based environment working with pipework and project structural steel work > Ability to take on a supervisory role over other staff would be advantageous, along with an ability to develop quality plans/systems with the aim of quality certification, develop existing and new client contacts. > Carbon steel and Stainless-steel welding experience essential, on both structural work and pipework > Experience in installation of steel work essential > Be able to site measure on client sites for job required > Previous ASME qualifications would be desired > Aluminum TIG welding would be an advantage > Willingness to get welding certifications as required > Workshop machinery (drill press, lathe, band saw, plasma cutter, etc) > Able to use sheet metal equipment (press, guillotine and rollers) > Must be able to read engineering/CAD drawings > Be able to train apprentices learning on the job > Trade qualifications of NZQA Level 4 or above, or equivalent in terms of trade and/or experience
You will be provided with: > Great Hourly Payrate which will be reviewed regularly and increased upon proof of quality on the job, along with overtime rates paid > Uniform > NZQA training provided for skills required on the job > Ongoing training and support > Time off over Christmas
You must have the following: > A minimum of 3 Years or more of relevant welding and fabrication experience > Drug-free. You will need to undergo a preemployment drug test. > Have a current and valid Full driver's license, able to drive manual vehicles > Clean criminal record as a MOJ check may be carried out on those short-listed
Hours for this position will be Monday to Friday with start and finish times discussed at the interview stage, with a minimum of 40 hours+ per week. The pay rate will depend on experience, but we would reward experience and knowledge with a high market rate.
