Botany Vehicle Service 2004 Limited based in East Tamaki, Auckland, specialised in full vehicle repair and servicing, electrical repairs, and automotive air conditioning repairs and servicing for all makes and models. We are looking for one vehicle painter to join our awesome team. 

You will be expected to work at our workshop located in East Tamaki or any other locations within the Auckland region directed by the employer, a minimum of 30 hours per week from Monday to Friday as normal hours of work, and you may also be required to perform on Saturday as well. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $29.00-$35 based on the candidates' experience and skills.

Job Description for This Position

  • Prepare and clean the surfaces of the vehicle panels, machines and other parts

  • Sand, fill and chisel the surfaces for the best results

  • Mask areas that need to be painted

  • Select pre-mixed paint or mix colours to create required colour in the event of

  • unavailability of the ones requested by customers

  • Spray paint automobiles, machines and other parts

  • Apply primer and finishing coats using spray-guns

  • Balance, layer and touch up colours and polish the surface

  • Communicate with motor mechanics or clients about the preferred colour and design

  • Check finished paint jobs to ensure the required quality standards

Key Requirements for Successful Applicant

  • At least two years’ of relevant experience working experience in mechanics, such as motor mechanic, panel beater, spray printer or similar.  

  • Relevant qualification or certificate is an advantage.

  • Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role.

  • Be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting.

  • A positive and willing attitude to learn and progress. 

  • Able to work with deadlines and schedules, and available to work weekends if required.
