Guaranteed hours of work per week:  at least 30 hours (Mon-Sat)

We are specialised in providing Electrical Maintenance services. We currently have an exciting opportunity for experienced individual to join us. We are looking for someone who is reliable and hardworking person.

 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineering Technician to support in electrical maintenance and new building projects. The role involves assisting with electrical installations, repairs, and general maintenance work. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience, be safety-conscious, and possess a strong willingness to learn and adapt to dynamic work environments.

 

Main duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

  • Assist Electricians and Electrical Engineers in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial environments

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently

  • Service and wire heat pumps and other electrical appliances under supervision

  • Identify and resolve faults promptly to minimize system downtime

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report issues to supervisors and clients

  • Support the installation and setup of electrical wiring systems, including lighting, power outlets, and distribution boards in new residential and commercial buildings

  • Mount lighting fixtures, electrical sockets, switches, and control panels

  • Run and terminate power cables, ensuring secure and compliant connections

  • Interpret and follow electrical schematics, plans, and technical drawings to execute tasks accurately

  • Participate in new wiring and complete rewiring of houses, offices, and other facilities as required

  • Conduct electrical testing of motors, wiring, and installed equipment to verify functionality and compliance with safety standards

  • Use testing devices and diagnostic tools to measure voltage, current, and resistance levels

  • Support commissioning of newly installed systems and troubleshoot any installation-related issues

  • Liaise with supervisors, project managers, and clients to provide progress updates and report faults

  • Follow health and safety regulations on-site and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment

  • Keep tools and equipment in proper working condition

  • Assist in inventory control and selection of materials needed for projects

  • Stay updated with relevant electrical codes and technological advancements in the field

 

Skills and Qualifications for the job:

  • Knowledge of electrical systems and tools.
  • Relevant Diploma/Bachelor qualification OR 3 years experience as a trade assistant or in a similar role.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety and ability to follow safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically fit to handle the demands of the role, including lifting and working in confined spaces.
