About the Role – Modular Prefabricated Decking Installers – Multiple Vacancies
We are seeking an experienced Modular Prefabricated Deck Installers to join our growing team for a high-profile modular construction project. This unique role requires a candidate with in-depth knowledge of prefabricated decking, fencing, and railing systems, and installation in New Zealand.
Key responsibilities:
● Installation of prefabricated decking systems from design and partial assembly to final installation on site.
● Be able to interpret and apply installation manuals to ensure proper on-site assembly of preassembled and on-sire components and address and resolve any onsite issues that may arise.
● Cross Team Co-ordination with the Factory team and the onsite team.
● Work with local contractors to ensure proper handover and guidance during installation.
● Logistics and Material Management ensuring all service materials are correctly scheduled, documented, shipped and delivered to site in alignment with the project timeline. This includes proactively tracking inventory and managing materials to avoid delays or shortages on site.
● Project support and troubleshooting by providing technical support to resolve service-related installation issues ensuring site teams can proceed with work without disruption due to material shortage or unclear documentation.
● Ensure the project us executed according to quality standards, installation manuals and system design.
● Assist with inspection and quality control processes and support the successful completion of the project by maintaining timelines, material readiness and team coordination.
Required qualifications and skills
● Proven experience of at least 3 years in the construction/wooden industry or a relevant level 4 qualification.
● Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, especially in logistics coordination and team collaboration
● Experience or strong aptitude in customer-facing roles, ideally in post-construction support or building maintenance, is highly desirable
● Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
● Ensuring work complies with legal and industry standards.
● Often working alongside other tradespeople on construction sites.
Pay & Benefits
● The hourly rate starts from $27 to $33 for full-time, permanent roles with a minimum of 35 hours guaranteed.
