We have an exciting opportunity in the Waikato area for a Process Control & Instrument Technician.

We are looking for people with the following qualifications:

Electrical / Instrument Technician experience with either

  • New Zealand Electrical & Instrumentation Automation qualification / registration, or
  • Overseas Diploma with Engineering (Level 6) Electronic Engineering or higher qualification (with a minimum of 6 months) New Zealand practical experience, or
  • NZQA IMC Level 4 ( a minimum of 3 years practical experience), or 
  • A diploma at NZQF Level 6, or a higher qualification, with the minimum equivalent of 240 credits, which includes the credit & knowledge requirements of the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Level 6) Electronic Engineering or higher


The following skills are preferable:

  • A positive and constructive attitude
  • Demonstrated keenness for continuous improvement
  • Skilled in dealing with the public
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workplace health & safety requirements
  • Confidence to work outdoors without direct supervision
  • Good level of health & fitness
  • Clean driver licence
  • Numeracy literacy and accurate data entry
  • Using hand tools
  • Able to prioritize and organize work to meet targets

You would typically work a 40 hour week (with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours payable if in the highly unlikely event there were fewer than 40 hours per week) at a rate between $38 and $42 per hour dependent on your qualifications, experience and skills.
