About the Role:
We are seeking a permanent full-time Carpenter to join our residential team in Auckland. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of residential carpentry tasks in line with construction drawings and specifications. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and follow construction drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Identify and source appropriate materials, including timber and hardware.
  • Cut, shape, and assemble materials using hand and power tools.
  • Construct and install framework, roof trusses, sub-floors, and floorboards.
  • Ensure all structures are level, aligned, and properly secured.
  • Install roof sheathing, fascia boards, external cladding, and window and door frames.
  • Build and install wooden fixtures such as walls, partitions, and staircases.
  • Create strong and accurate wood joints for assembling various structures.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe worksite.
  • Performing other carpentry-related duties as required by the Employer.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience or a relevant carpentry qualification (NZQA Level 4).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proven experience working in a team environment.

Work hours: 30-40 hours per week.

Hourly rate: $30-$35, depending on skills and experience.

Additional requirements:

  • The employee must be available to work on weekends.
  • Candidates must be New Zealand citizens or residents.
