Job Description
- Ensuring the cleanliness of equipment and the operational readiness of the premises before production, in compliance with occupational health and safety standards
- Inspecting the quality of raw materials and accurately weighing ingredients for production
- Kneading, fermenting, cutting, moulding, mixing, shaping, and preparing dough and pastry products
- Making pastry fillings and preparing toppings as required
- Controlling oven temperatures and monitoring product appearance to ensure proper baking times and quality standards
- Overseeing the entire production process including forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling of bread, rolls, and pastry products
- Finishing products by glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream, icing, or other toppings
- Operating machinery for rolling, moulding dough, and cutting biscuit shapes to specification
- Cleaning, greasing, and maintaining baking trays, tins, and other equipment to ensure production efficiency
- Preparing and baking various types of bread loaves, rolls, and similar products
- Carrying out other reasonable duties as assigned by the employer
Position Details
- Location: Far North, Northland
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay Rate: $25.00–$35.00 per hour
- Days Required: Monday to Sunday, roster may apply
- Hours Per Week: Minimum 30 hours
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience, or a NZQF level 4 qualification in a relevant field from New Zealand, or an equivalent overseas qualification.
