We are KVD Homes, a complete design and build construction company, specializing in the residential home sector. KVD Homes is seeking two skilled and motivated Carpenters to join our growing team in Auckland. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering stable employment with a well-established construction business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret building plans and specifications to determine materials required and dimensions

  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures such as framing, flooring, roofing, doors, windows, staircases, and cabinetry

  • Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes and standards

  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently

  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, subcontractors, and site supervisors to complete projects on time

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment on site

  • Carry out finishing work such as installing moldings, skirtings, and fittings.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of two years’ relevant industry experience or a relevant level 4 qualification in carpentry or building construction.

  • Strong knowledge of timber properties and construction materials

  • Skilled in using a variety of carpentry tools and equipment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good physical stamina and attention to detail

  • Understanding of and commitment to health and safety standards on-site.

What we are offering:

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Minimum Hours: 30 hours per week (guaranteed)
Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Pay Range: $28.00 – $34.00 per hour.
