We have a vacancy for a Full time Digger Operators in the Auckland region, who are prepared to thrive in a company, focused on quality, growth and development in metal industry. You will be required to work between minimum 30 hours to maximum 45 hours in a week. Our business operates throughout the week from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. In this role, you may be required to work flexible hours during the week, weekends, and statutory holidays.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

·       Be able to operate and Excavator up to 30 tonne capacity.

·       Have experience in handling scrap metal and a swinging grapple.

·       Experience undertaking minor maintenance and servicing of plant.

·       Ability to work in all weather conditions

·       Willingness to undertake alternate duties i.e. labouring on-site during downtime.

·       Strong focus on safety

·       Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

·       Follow the company’s safety and quality guidelines

·       Monitoring operation of plant and adjusting controls to regulate pressure, speed and flow of operation and ensuring safety of other workers

·       Working from written and verbal instructions

·       Servicing, lubricating, cleaning and refuelling plant and performing minor adjustments and repairs

 

Key requirements

 

ü  To be successful you must have at least 1 year of experience operating small to medium diggers

ü  Must be physical fit

ü  Knowledge of emergency procedures and how to handle hazard conditions.

ü  Take responsibility for the operation of the digger.

ü  A team player and enjoy working in a team environment

ü  A positive attitude and a great work ethic

ü  Clean Character Background

ü  Digger Operator License
