A2A ELECTRICAL SERVICES LIMITED is a busy electrical services company. We are looking for a suitably qualified electrical apprentice to join our busy team.

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • examining blueprints, wiring diagrams and specifications to determine sequences and methods of operation.
  • measuring and laying out installation reference points
  • selecting, cutting and connecting wire and cable to terminals and connectors
  • using electrical and electronic test instruments to trace and diagnose faults.
  • repairing and replacing faulty wiring and defective parts.
  • positioning and installing electrical switchboards.
  • connecting electrical systems to power supply.
  • testing continuity of circuit.
  • installing, testing and adjusting electric and mechanical parts of lifts

Expectation:
1. Minimum 1 years of experience in similar role or at least Level 4 Trade Certificate or Diploma.\

2. Knowledge of safety standards and regulation

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

4. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, late at nights

 

To be considered for this role you should be able to provide previous work references. Working on weekends and will be available on-calls (if required) for this position. Hourly wage rate: $25 - $32 per hour depending on experience and skills. Preference will be given to candidates who are already in New Zealand and has relevant work experience.

Multiple Location – Auckland, Hamilton, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Christchurch.

All suitable candidates should be able to pass a drug test and a Ministry of Justice/Police check when required.
