Golden Fingers Thai Massage is a well-established local business in Auckland, offering authentic Thai massage therapies to our valued clients. We are currently seeking five experienced Thai Massage Therapists to join our friendly and professional team.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Massage Therapist, your duties will include:

• Performing therapeutic massage of soft tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments) to promote healing, relaxation, and overall well-being
• Applying traditional Thai massage techniques, including acupressure, stretching, and compression
• Assessing clients’ physical condition, medical history, and areas of concern to tailor treatment plans
• Advising clients on stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and post-treatment care
• Using complementary aids such as herbal compresses, essential oils, warm stones, ice packs, and other appropriate tools
• Maintaining high hygiene standards in treatment areas and handling massage materials properly
• Documenting client treatments and progress
• Following workplace health and safety practices
• Working collaboratively with the team and complying with lawful instructions from management

Candidate Requirements:

Applicants must meet one or more of the following criteria:

• A minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience as a massage therapist (specialising in Thai massage preferred), OR
• A relevant qualification at NZQA Level 5 (e.g. NZ Diploma in Wellness and Relaxation Massage or an equivalent overseas qualification), OR
• The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) certification from Thailand

Position Details:

• Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
• Hours: 30 to 48 hours per week (5–6 days per week on a roster between Monday–Sunday, 9:30 am – 8:30 pm)
• Wage: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour, paid weekly
• Location: Morningside, Auckland
• Leave Entitlements: Annual leave and sick leave in accordance with New Zealand employment law

Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen, resident, or hold a valid New Zealand work visa.
