Our Auckland team in Mangere is seeking an experienced and committed Inwards Goods operator with previous experience in a similar role. 

This position is crucial to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse and plays a vital role in maintaining the quality and integrity of our product inventory.

The role:

  • Full-time permanent role.
  • Roster: 6 days per week, Mon to Sat.
  • Hours: 06.00 am to 3.00 pm
  • Location: Ihumatao Raod, Mangere. Closer to AKL Airport

The job:

You will be responsible to efficiently handle the receiving and processing of incoming goods, ensuring accuracy, quality control, and timely distribution within the Warehouse.

  • Receive, inspect and record all incoming goods accurately.
  • Unload and check the condition of products, ensuring they meet our quality standards.
  • Check and record all inwards goods including barcoding and pricing accurately.
  • Accurately label and categorize items, making note of any discrepancies or damages.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inwards goods area
  • Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to store items in the appropriate location.
  • Stock shelves in an organised manner.
  • Perform regular stock checks and assist in inventory management.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of paperwork and data entry.
  • Assist with the preparation of outgoing orders and returns.

 

The person:

You will have some prior experience in a similar role, food industry, or a warehousing environment is advantageous, but not essential.

  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects up to 25kg.
  • Must have valid Forklift license.
  • Experience in a Food warehouse is beneficial
  • Reasonably good Literacy and numeracy skills
  • Flexible and reliable attendance & transport
  • A good level of computer literacy skills and the ability to pick up new systems
  • Prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients
  • Honest team player, integrity and reliability are essential.
  • Attention to detail and Clear communication skills.
  • Class 1 full NZ drivers license with reliable transport.
