The role:

You will be responsible for replenishing frozen products. Your main focus will be on the efficient and safe handling of frozen food products, accurate inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized freezer storage area.

  • Safely and efficiently receive, store and distribute frozen food products
  • Ensure all products are properly labelled, organized and stored at the appropriate temperature
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and best practices at all times
  • Accurate picking and packing; Replenishing stock
  • Safely operate an Aisle Master forklift within the freezer environment
  • Assist with routine freezer maintenance and cleaning
  • Adherence to health and safety and food safety standards
  • Checking expiry dates and removing any out-of-date stock
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse
  • Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation based on FIFO
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks
  • Bulk repetitive picking - heavy lifting up to 20-25 kgs.

The person:

You will have some prior experience in a similar role, food industry or a warehousing/logistics environment. Other attributes:

  • Previous experience in a freezer or cold storage warehouse is a plus
  • Ability to work in a freezer environment, with temperatures as low as -18°C
  • Reasonably good Literacy and numeracy skills
  • Flexible and reliable attendance & transport
  • Physically strong and be able to lift heavy goods
  • Forklift license beneficial
  • A good level of computer literacy skills and the ability to pick up new systems
  • Prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients
  • Attention to detail and Clear communication skills
  • Class 1 Full NZ driver license with reliable transport.
