Kang Yuan Massage Centre Limited, based in Wellington CBD is specialising in delivering high-quality massage therapy services tailored to our clients' health and wellness needs. We are looking for four Massage Therapists to join our team.

You will be working at our shop in Wellington CBD. You will work a minimum of 30 hours per week and a maximum of 50 hours a week. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $30-$33 based on the candidates' skills.

Job Description for This Position

  • Massage soft body tissues to relieve discomfort and provide treatment for injuries, wellness maintenance or medical conditions.

  • Apply pressure to specific parts of the body with the hands and fingers to release muscle tension and bring relief from related symptoms.

  • Discuss client concerns, medical histories and specific stresses or pains to develop the most effective approach to massage treatment.

  • Propose final treatment plans to clients and implement them only after client acceptance and agreement.

  • Refer clients to other professionals and therapists when appropriate and necessary to treat additional symptoms.

  • Prepare oil blends for clients’ skin and perform other treatment techniques and therapies in addition to massage.

Key Requirements for Successful Applicants:

  • Have at least 2 years’ work experience in the massage sector. 

  • Ability to work unsupervised and use your initiative

  • Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role.

  • A positive and willing attitude to learn and progress. 

  • Good customer service behaviour and experience.

  • An excellent work ethic, initiative & the ability to multi-task.
