JOB VACANCY – PAINTER

COMPLETE HOMES PAINTING LIMITED

We are currently seeking skilled and reliable Painters to join our team at Complete Homes Painting Limited in Wellington. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and long-term opportunities for the right candidate.

·        Type of employment: full-time permanent

·        Work region: Wellington

·        Pay Rate: from $30.00 to $31.00 per hour

·        Work Hours: Minimum of 30 hours, maximum 50 hours per week

·        Flexibility to work on weekends if required

Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to:

·       Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary

·       Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by removing old paint and wall paper, fixing holes and cracks, smoothing and sealing, etc.

·       Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools

·       Apply varnish and other finishes

·       Match paint samples for touch up

·       Hanging wallpaper when required, trimming edges

·       Cleaning equipment and work area

·       Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions

·       Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding and ladders, covering fixtures etc.

·       Any other duties the employer reasonably may require employee to perform

Requirements:

·        Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience OR a Level 4 qualification in painting

·        Strong knowledge of painting materials, mixing, and application techniques

·        Solid understanding of construction painting practices and use of appropriate tools

·        Physically fit and capable of working independently or in a team

·        Full-time availability and flexible with working hours

·        No criminal record
