Mr. Singh Enterprises Limited is a trusted logistics partner operating under an active service agreement with New Zealand Post. With a fleet comprising 7 NZ Post vans, 2 posties and still growing, we are committed to providing efficient and reliable parcel delivery services across designated routes. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated 2 Courier Drivers to ensure the smooth delivery of services.

We are looking for people with strong work ethics and great communication skills to help us deliver what Kiwis care about. This position is challenging; it requires you to be at our depot every morning, rain or shine, at 5 am.

In this role, you will work closely with the Director and other team members.

The purpose of the role is to pick up/deliver bulk freight as required, and to adhere to all Health & Safety procedures of the company and to a third party as well.  As a Courier driver at Mr Singh Enterprises Limited, you will mainly carry out the following duties:

 

  To sort freight in the early morning and during the day, as required

  May have to work on Saturdays or Sundays if required.

  Determining the destinations of goods and the most appropriate delivery routes

  Deliver courier parcels as addressed

  Scanning each parcel accurately and collecting signatures

  Cover courier runs for other drivers when required

  Keeping equipment and vehicle inside out clean and tidy at all times

  Keeping records of items received and delivered

  Reporting vehicle maintenance requirements

  Assist with receipting inward mail, checking wrongly addressed, missorted, undelivered and redirected mail

 

To be successful in this position, you will

 

  Hold a full Class 1 driver's licence with a clean record

  dangerous goods endorsement (will be helpful if have or company will help to achieve)

  Have at least two years of relevant experience

  Have excellent, efficient and safe driving skills

  Can accurately read and interpret paperwork

  Undergo a clear pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

  Have excellent communication skills

  Have knowledge of New Zealand transport and related industry rules and regulations

 

Please note as this role is for full-time hours, it will not suit anyone on a student visa or anyone looking for part-time casual employment.
