Deep Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester to join our development team working on a mission-critical Electricity Wholesale Billing & Invoicing Platform.

You will be responsible for testing, validating, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the software that handles financial transactions and settlements between SME power retailers and power generators in New Zealand's electricity market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, create, and execute comprehensive test cases for our billing and invoicing modules.

  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

  • Validate accuracy of complex energy transaction data and financial settlements.

  • Identify, track, and help resolve defects through JIRA or similar tools.

  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure business logic and market rules are implemented correctly.

  • Contribute to continuous test automation and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
