About the role
Due to high volume of customer signups on our new application platforms we have an opportunity for an Application Support Specialist to install and provide technical support onsite. We are seeking for an immediate start in Christchurch.
Responsibilities of the role will include installing POS application on POS hardware’s, Tablets and iPads, we have different apps we use depends on the customer requirements.
- Liaising with the clients to ensure that their needs will be met by the POS solution and EFTPOS they require, ascertaining software and hardware requirements, ongoing assistance requirements, potential website or web Ordering system development
- Providing software demonstration to potential clients to highlight functionality of POS software including value added to restaurants and cafes using the software;
- Creating the menu programming and design according to the clients specifications;
- IP configuring and installing power Wi-Fi modems to connect order taking tablets.
- Procuring required consumables;
- Installing software on devices and testing wireless connectivity and functionality as per client specifications;
- Provide onsite training on device and software use at client premises;
- Provide ongoing help desk support for POS and EFTPOS clients onsite or in some cases remotely depending on client location including logging time and support issues in the call and support logging system; and Installing POS hardware at client’s premises.
To be successful you will need to:
- Have at least One (1) year solid relevant experience, or relevant qualification at level 4 or above in electronics/computer application/IT
- A sound working knowledge in Point of Sale software environment
- Very good customer support and communication skills
- Experience in configuring IP Printers and Wifi Modems
- Passionate about Apps & Software
