ACE ENERGY SOLUTIONS LIMITED, Auckland is looking for Building Insulation Installer/Helper. Full time role 30-40 hours per week.

As a Building Insulation Installer/Helper you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate installation of insulation materials in residential and commercial buildings. This role involves preparing work areas, handling materials, and ensuring compliance with safety and building standards to improve energy efficiency and thermal performance of structures.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Ideally your role would be to assist the team with: 

  • Preparing the work areas by cleaning surfaces, removing old insulation (if applicable), and sealing gaps or cracks to ensure effective thermal coverage. 
  • Measuring, cutting, and installing insulation materials (e.g., fiberglass, foam, polyester, or reflective foil) into walls, ceilings, floors, and other surfaces as per building specifications and plans.
  • Reading and interpreting building plans, blueprints, and job specifications to determine insulation requirements.
  • Loading and unloading insulation materials and equipment safely at job sites.
  • Operating hand and power tools such as staple guns, saws, and insulation blowers, adhering to proper handling and maintenance procedures.
  • Following health and safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring proper ventilation when handling insulation materials.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and hazard-free work environment on site.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, builders, and site supervisors to ensure timely project completion.
  • Conducting quality checks to ensure insulation is installed according to code and company standards.
  • Disposing of waste material in accordance with environmental and workplace policies.
  • Appropriate use of company vehicle

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions
  • Basic knowledge of construction or insulation installation techniques
  • Ability to use hand tools and safety equipment effectively
  • Good attention to detail and workmanship
  • Strong awareness of health and safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in insulation or construction work is advantageous
  • Flexible to work weekends if required to complete task. 
  • Must have valid full driver’s licence
  • Work efficiently to meet tight timeframes
