Based in New Zealand, our company is a dynamic and fast-growing e-commerce enterprise specializing in the development and operation of independent online stores. We currently manage and operate several successful direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands, including Cutehart, Beauty Monster, and ProfySkin. These platforms focus primarily on beauty, skincare, and medical aesthetic products, catering to a global customer base with a strong emphasis on product quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

MOGI TRADING LIMITED is looking for a Database Administrator.

Key Responsibilities

-Design, deploy, and maintain scalable database systems to manage high-volume e-commerce data (orders, user behavior, inventory, and supply chain logs).

-Optimize database performance for peak traffic events (e.g., Black Friday, flash sales) using sharding, replication, and caching strategies.

-Build robust ETL pipelines to ingest, clean, and transform structured/unstructured data from e-commerce platforms, warehouses, and third-party tools (e.g., Shopify, Magento).

-Automate data quality checks and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy of customer profiles, transaction histories, and product catalogs.

-Develop and maintain dashboards for real-time monitoring of KPIs (conversion rates, cart abandonment, inventory turnover) using tools like Tableau or Looker.

-Enable dynamic reporting for marketing teams to track campaign performance, customer segmentation, and A/B test results.

-Enforce data privacy standards (GDPR, CCPA) through role-based access controls, encryption, and audit trails for sensitive user information.

-Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and backup drills to safeguard customer and transactional data.

-Partner with backend engineers to optimize database queries for high-traffic features (product search, checkout flows).

-Support data scientists by providing curated datasets for recommendation engines, demand forecasting, and pricing optimization models.

-Monitor and decommission redundant data pipelines to streamline operational overhead.

-Evaluate and adopt emerging database technologies (e.g., columnar stores, graph databases) to enhance analytics capabilities.

-Develop internal tools for data exploration, anomaly detection, and automated alerts (e.g., stockouts, payment fraud).
