Sokha Hean Limited has been operating for several years. We are looking for two junior plasterers to join our team.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1.5 years of related experience or skills

  • Having at least NZ Register Level 4 qualification may substitute for the experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification)

Specific Job Description

  • planning plasterboard placement and installing insulation and vapor barriers
  • taking measurements, marking and cutting plasterboard, lifting and aligning sheets, and fastening them to ceilings, walls, and battens
  • preparing and attaching corner beads securely in place
  • installing pre-moulded cornices, panel trims, ceiling medallions, and other decorative plaster components
  • filling joints and fastener holes with plaster or sealing compounds, and smoothing them with damp brushes and sandpaper
  • blending and applying layers of plaster, render, or cement with trowels, then evening and smoothing them to a consistent thickness
  • aligning and squaring corners, edges, and surface planes of walls and ceilings
  • adding decorative textures to finishing layers
  • applying and completing acoustic, insulating, and fire-resistant coatings made with plaster, plastic cement, or related compounds
  • performing other related tasks

Other detail

  • This is a full-time and permanent position
  • Wage: $30–$35 per hour, depending on your skills and experience. Payment is made weekly.
  • Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law
  • You will be working in Hamilton
  • Business normal hours of operation are from Monday to Friday, 7.30 am – 5.30 pm.
  • You will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week (a maximum of 48
    hours) within the business’s normal hours of operation.
