About Us

Le Autos Group Limited is a multi-branch vehicle dealership based in Auckland, specialising in high-quality used Japanese and European vehicles. With an inventory of over 250 cars, comprehensive in-house finance offerings, and an expanding online and physical customer base, we rely heavily on technology and data to drive our daily operations. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Developer to enhance, maintain, and secure our data systems.

Position Overview

The Database Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure database systems that support Le Autos’ internal applications and online platforms. The role involves analysing business requirements, programming database solutions, integrating systems across multiple branches, and ensuring high data availability, consistency, and security. Additionally, the role will leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques to develop advanced data-driven solutions that enhance business performance.

Key Responsibilities

·  Develop and maintain the company’s central database systems to support dealership operations, including vehicle inventory management, customer records, finance applications, and sales tracking.

·  Design and optimise data solutions that power the company's online vehicle listings, ensuring real-time accuracy of stock availability, pricing, and specifications across all branches.

·  Build and support integration between internal systems (sales, admin, finance) and external platforms such as the company website, finance partner portals, and CRM tools to streamline operations and reduce manual work.

·  Analyse sales, customer, and operational data to support business decisions — such as pricing strategies, marketing effectiveness, inventory turnover, and finance approval trends.

Automate data processes (e.g., vehicle listing updates, application status tracking, lead follow-up alerts) to improve staff efficiency and customer response time.

·  Create data-driven reporting tools and dashboards for management, covering performance indicators such as monthly sales, branch comparisons, finance conversion rates, and customer engagement.

·  Leverage AI and machine learning techniques to develop predictive analytics models that forecast vehicle demand, optimise inventory levels, and enhance customer targeting strategies.

·  Implement data mining and natural language processing (NLP) algorithms to analyse customer feedback, online enquiries, and social media sentiment, providing actionable insights for sales and marketing teams.

·  Automate routine data processing tasks using AI-powered tools and scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual errors.

·  Collaborate with data scientists or external AI consultants to integrate AI solutions with existing database and CRM systems.

·  Diagnose and resolve data-related issues, bugs, and inconsistencies quickly to minimise disruption to sales and customer service.

·  Ensure data security and compliance by implementing appropriate user access controls, backups, and storage procedures in line with New Zealand privacy laws.

·  Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation to ensure systems can be supported and upgraded efficiently.

·  Collaborate closely with sales consultants, finance managers, admin staff, and management to continuously improve the database systems in line with the company’s business needs.
