We are currently seeking a qualified Store Manager to join our dynamic team in Auckland. This is a full-time role with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Operations and Service Standards

Determine the appropriate product mix and maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demand and maximise sales.

Review and update customer service procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.

Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing store environment.
Purchasing and Marketing Strategy

Formulate and implement purchasing strategies to ensure timely restocking and efficient inventory turnover.

Set competitive pricing in line with market trends and profit margins.

Plan and execute marketing and promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

Monitor market trends and customer preferences to make informed decisions on new product lines and discontinuation of slow-moving items.
Sales and Customer Engagement

Actively engage in selling goods and services to customers and provide detailed product knowledge and usage guidance.

Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints effectively and promptly.

Build strong relationships with customers to promote loyalty and repeat business.
Financial and Inventory Records

Maintain accurate daily records of stock levels, sales transactions, and shop takings.

Prepare and manage shop budgets, including forecasting and cost control.

Generate financial and performance reports for review by senior management.

Reconcile daily takings and ensure timely banking and secure cash handling.
Staff Supervision and Development

Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise shop staff to ensure efficient team performance.

Conduct regular staff evaluations and provide feedback to support growth and productivity.

Foster a positive and respectful workplace culture aligned with company values.

Delegate duties and monitor staff performance to ensure accountability and excellence in service.
Health, Safety, and Compliance

Ensure the store operates in compliance with all relevant occupational health and safety regulations.

Identify potential hazards and take appropriate actions to reduce risks in the workplace.

Keep up to date with legal requirements and implement any necessary operational changes to meet compliance standards.
Candidate Requirements:
- Diploma in Business Management (or higher qualification) OR at least three years of relevant work experience in the retail business.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong organisational and decision-making skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of retail stock systems, budgeting, and marketing.
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
