Taradale Service Centre is a privately owned, MTA-approved workshop located in Taradale and known for honest service, top-quality workmanship, and a strong small team culture. We are a growing business looking for an experienced automotive technician to join us.

What we are looking for: 

·       Qualified Automotive Technician / 3 years or more experience.

·       Current WOF AVI certification would be a strong advantage ( not mandatory).

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
  • Remove and rebuild engines, transmissions, and key components
  • Perform scheduled maintenance (oil changes, tune-ups, etc.)
  • Reassemble and test engines for performance
  • Respond to breakdowns and provide mobile assistance
  • Keep your workspace clean and organised

·       Accuracy and quality-focused, with the ability to problem solve and think laterally.

·       Organised, efficient, and methodical.

·       Great communication skills.

·       Possess a “Can Do” attitude.

·       Full and clean driver's license.

·       Must be a New Zealand citizen/residents

Skills Required:

·       The successful applicant will need to be qualified and have strong mechanical skills.

·       Have a sound knowledge of Modern vehicle electrical diagnostics, servicing, and repairs.

·       To be able to work unsupervised.

·       Strong time management skills.

·       Exceptional attention to inspection sheets and general paperwork.

·       Possess a customer satisfaction-focused attitude and work well in a team.
