Cook

Le Dream Cafe Limited currently look for a hardworking and reliable Cook to join us. We have two locations: Alenna Cafe in Takanini and Cafe Avion in Mangere. You will be assigned to work at Alenna Cafe in Takanini and will be required to cover the shift at Cafe Avion in Mangere from time to time when there is staff shortage. 

Working hours is from 30 to 40 hours per week. Pay rate ranges from $26 to $28 per hour. 

Your duties will include:

• Prepare ingredient such as measure ingredients, peel and chop vegetables, cut meat etc.

• Cook food following recipes and accommodate customers' dietary requirements. 

• Portion and present food according to our standards.

• Prepare salads, savouries, and sandwiches.

• Monitor stock level and quality, assist with ordering supplies.

• Clean and sanitize food preparation areas and cooking equipment.

• Ensure cooking appliance and equipment work well, report any issues.

• Perform any other related duties as required.

Required skills and attributes:

• Minimum one year of relevant work experience in commercial kitchen. 

• Must be able to start at 5am, can work on weekends and public holidays.

• Physically fit for tasks that requires physical strength such as heavy liftings or standing for extended periods.

• Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Have strong multitasking and organizational skills.

• Be reliable and punctual, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
