We are seeking a skilled Scaffolder to join our team. As a Scaffolder, you will be responsible for erecting and dismantling scaffolding structures safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction principles, excellent teamwork skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Candidates must meet any one of the following:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Scaffolder or similar role in the construction industry.
  • OR a Level 4 qualification in Scaffolding

Key Responsibilities:

  • Erecting and dismantling scaffolding structures according to engineering designs and safety regulations.
  • Inspecting scaffolding components for defects and ensuring they meet safety standards before use.
  • Installing safety rails, toe boards, and guardrails as necessary to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Working collaboratively with the construction team to ensure scaffolding is erected in the correct location and to required specifications.
  • Maintaining and repairing scaffolding as needed to ensure structural integrity and safety.
  • Identify and report any defects or damage to scaffolding materials and remove or replace unsafe components.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and tradespeople to coordinate the placement and adjustments of scaffolds as work progresses.
  • Load, unload, and transport scaffolding equipment to and from work sites using safe manual handling techniques or machinery.
  • Following established procedures for safe handling and storage of scaffolding materials and equipment.
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting regular safety checks.
  • Keep detailed records of work completed, safety inspections, and incidents or near misses.
  • Comply with WorkSafe NZ regulations and industry best practices for scaffolding operations and site safety.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings and toolbox talks, and contribute to a positive safety culture on site.
  • Work primarily takes place on construction sites, requiring adherence to strict safety protocols.
  • May involve working at heights and in outdoor environments.
