The Agricultural Machinery Operator is responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and minor repair of agricultural machinery and equipment used in farming operations. The role ensures that all machinery-related tasks are performed safely, accurately, and on schedule to support the overall productivity and success of the farming operations.

  • Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed.

Applicants must have the following as per employer’s requirement:

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Machinery Operation:

  • Operate various types of agricultural machinery, including but not limited to tractors, harvesters, sprayers, seeders, and balers.
  • Ensure machinery is used efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and company policies. 

2. Maintenance and Repair:

  • Perform routine maintenance checks and basic repairs to ensure machinery is in good working condition.
  • Report any major mechanical issues to the supervisor and arrange for professional repairs as needed.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.

3. Health and Safety:

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Participate in health and safety training sessions and contribute to a culture of safety on the farm. 

4. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with farm managers, agronomists, and other team members to coordinate tasks and achieve operational goals.
  • Communicate effectively regarding the status of machinery, field conditions, and any issues encountered.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving efficiency and productivity. 

5. Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of machinery usage, fuel consumption, and field activities.
  • Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible for management review.
