We are currently seeking three skilled Bricklayers’ Assistants to join our team in Hamilton. This is a full-time position, with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

About the Role:

As a Bricklayer’s Assistant, you will provide essential support to our bricklaying team across a range of construction tasks. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the setup and dismantling of scaffolding

  • Mixing mortar and preparing materials for bricklayers

  • Transporting bricks and other construction materials

  • Cleaning and maintaining tools and work equipment

  • Following safety procedures and keeping the worksite clean and organised

  • Providing general assistance to bricklayers as required

What We’re Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of two years’ relevant experience in the construction industry

  • Knowledge of New Zealand’s construction industry (preferred)

  • Good physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy materials

  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and in a team

  • Flexibility to work varied hours and respond to urgent job requests

  • A commitment to workplace health and safety

  • A drug- and alcohol-free lifestyle
