We are now seeking for several Stonemasons to join our team.

You will be paid an hourly rate of $30.00-$38.00 depending on your experience and skill level. You will be working in Auckland.

This role will be a permanent, full-time position and will be guaranteed 40 hours of work per week. Paid weekly, 4 weeks annual leave, Statutory holidays, Sick and bereavement leave. Opportunities to upskill.

 

 Key Responsibilities include: 

• Reading plans and interpreting technical drawings to determine stone cutting, shaping, and installation specifications

• Cutting, grinding, polishing, and shaping stone benchtops in the factory using power and hand tools

• Onsite installation of stone kitchen benchtops, ensuring alignment, levelling, and structural integrity

• Applying adhesives and sealants, and securely anchoring stone elements

• Lifting, transporting and fitting heavy stone slabs with the aid of lifting equipment and team members

• Performing quality checks, finishing, and edge profiling to ensure top-grade product delivery

• Repairing, replacing, or finishing existing stone surfaces when required

• Adhering to workplace safety procedures, lifting protocols, and site requirements

• Maintaining cleanliness of the workspace, tools, and equipment in both factory and onsite settings 

 

The successful candidate must have:

• Minimum 2 years work experience in related field or level 4 relevant skills certificate

• Motivated, good work attitude and good communication skills

• Regular and reliable attendance

• Physically fit and able to handle the heavy workload

• Quality workmanship and eye for detail

• Commitment to health and workplace safety

• Strong ability to work independently

• Able to pass health, drug and criminal checks if required
