Truck Driver (Class 5)

Position Available: Truck Driver (Class 5)

Number of Positions: 2
Location: Hamilton, Waikato Region
Payrate: $30–$35 per hour
Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 30
Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 40

Key Requirements:

• A valid Class 5 heavy vehicle driver’s licence

• or At least 1 year of experience

• or Level 3 or above qualification. 

Also

• Comfortable with routine administrative tasks in an office or dispatch environment

• Good understanding of NZ traffic regulations, logbook systems, and load safety protocols

• Reliable, customer-focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Class 5 vehicles on scheduled delivery or courier routes as required

• Oversee loading and unloading of freight while ensuring cargo handling safety

• Assist with office-based tasks such as dispatch coordination, delivery scheduling, and record keeping

• Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery documentation, and compliance records

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues

• Liaise with clients, dispatch, and warehouse staff to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues

• Adhere to workplace safety, NZTA transport rules, and internal company policies
