1988 Investments Limited is seeking amotivated and customer-focused Retail Assistants to join our supermarket team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent service, maintaining store standards, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the store.
The role is full time with 30 hours gauranteed each week.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet customers and assist them in locating products and providing product information.

Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and preferences.

Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, store policies, and security practices.

Process sales transactions accurately using point of sale (POS) systems, including handling cash, EFTPOS, and other payment methods.

Receive, unpack, and arrange stock on shelves or in storage areas, ensuring items are correctly priced and displayed.

Monitor inventory levels and inform supervisors of stock shortages or reorder needs.

Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the sales floor, shelves, and workstations.

Assist in handling customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.

Assist with stocktaking and inventory control tasks as required.

Observe workplace health and safety regulations and procedures.
Skills and Experience Required:

Prior experience in a customer service or retail sales environment preferred but not essential.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

A proactive and positive attitude with a strong work ethic.

Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.

Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.

Secondary school education or equivalent is essential.
Working Conditions:

Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays as per roster.
- We require the person to be willing to work night shifts.
