Gateway Synergy is looking for highly experienced Project Support Officers for a government agency. An exciting opportunity is open for a rapidly growing project. Be part of a team that makes meaningful changes and improves Australian lives. 

The Role
The agency requires Project Support Officer to drive stakeholder engagement with ICT projects. The successful candidate will take a lead role working closely with project, technical and executive stakeholders to gain in-depth understandings of business and technical processes, and technical infrastructure and services. They will also assist in developing strategic roadmaps to support executive decision making.

Key Responsibilities
The Project Support Officer will specifically undertake will the following, but is not limited:
  • Ability to critically assess documentation (e.g. confirm a project’s reporting status against the agreed criteria) and proactively assess the appropriate next steps in consultation with leadership
  • Experience updating and implementing frameworks, policies, guidelines, and procurement documentation that deliver business outcomes for the organisation
  • Ability to prioritise work based on urgency and importance while maintaining flexibility to respond to ad hoc tasking’s
  • Support the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs or projects that align with the department/agency’s objectives
  • Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program and project deliverables are met
  • Contribute to risk management, governance, and continuous improvement activities across projects and programs
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects.
  • Prepare project documentation, including reports and presentations.
  • Coordinating regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
  • Monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
  • Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, including with community, government, and service providers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.

Criteria
