We are a busy and growing panel and paint business located in Penrose, Auckland. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to lead and coordinate the daily operations of our workshop, ensuring smooth service delivery, efficient workflow, and excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Tasks:

  • Manage day-to-day store and workshop operations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers: provide quotes, explain repair processes, and schedule jobs.
  • Supervise and coordinate tasks of workshop staff
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, schedules, invoices, and costs.
  • Manage inventory of paint and panel materials, tools, and consumables.
  • Order supplies and liaise with suppliers to ensure stock availability and competitive pricing.
  • Assist in monitoring job profitability and workshop expense control.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed in the workshop.
  • Support communication between workshop staff and business shareholders.
  • Assist in developing simple promotional strategies to grow the customer base, such as through social media or word-of-mouth marketing.

Guaranteed Hours:

  • MInimum of 30 hours per week

Minimum Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • A management-related qualification, Diploma level or above
  • At least two years of relevant experience in a management or supervisory role in the automotive industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to coordinate workflow and manage day-to-day operations.
  • Understanding of workshop processes and cost control.
