Carpenter and Joiner

The position is responsible for the following:

Measure, cut, prepare and assemble timber and timber board products to make interior fittings such as timber doors, window frames, and stairs.

Guaranteed hours: 30 hours per week

 Tasks Include, but not limited to:

• Studying design plans and drawings to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures

• Built-in joinery fixing

• Erecting wood panels and frames during installation and joinery fitting

• Hardware installation

• Selecting and matching materials for colour grain, or texture

• Cutting, shaping and assembling wooden parts to construct frames for timber door, sliding door and stairs

• Installing door and stairs in residential and commercial sites within Auckland

• Examine blue prints or drawing and plans sequence of cutting or shaping operations to be performed

• may repair existing fittings
