Position: Maintenance Fitter

Job Description

- Responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment using metal components and mechanical systems, based on technical drawings and operational requirements.

- Studying technical drawings and specifications to determine suitable materials, operations sequence, and machine settings.

- Fitting and assembling metal components and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and equipment.

- Inspecting fabricated and assembled parts for accuracy, clearance, and fit using precision instruments.

- Diagnosing mechanical faults and performing maintenance on machines and fluid power systems.

- Overhauling and repairing mechanical parts to restore equipment functionality.

- May be involved in erecting machines and equipment on-site as part of installation tasks.

 

Requirements: 

3 years relevant experience or relevant qualification is needed.

Hours: 30 to 50

Hourly Rate: 28 to 35

Location: Auckland
