We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter/Joiner to join our team based in Whangārei. This is a permanent full-time position offering consistent hours and long-term employment for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks involving woodwork, fitting, repairs, and installations, primarily on residential and light commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of joinery and carpentry work and be committed to delivering quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood and other materials

·        Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

·        Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently

·        Measure, cut, and assemble timber and other materials

·        Ensure work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines

·        Maintain a clean and safe work environment

·        Collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively.

 

Requirements:

·        Minimum 2 years of proven experience in joinery or carpentry

·        Must hold a valid New Zealand driver licence

·        Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions

·        Physically fit and capable of manual work

·        Able to work independently and as part of a team

·        Trade qualification preferred but not essential
