We're now expanding our team in Onehunga, Auckland, and seeking a qualified and motivated Electronic Engineering Technician to help us innovate, create, and elevate the electrical solutions that keep industries and communities running.

Position: Electronic Engineering Technician

Location: Onehunga, Auckland, New Zealand

Employment Type: Full-Time (Minimum 30 hours/week)

Pay Rate: $31.00 – 32.00 per hour

Availability: Monday to Sunday

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

·         Preparing the design, development, and testing of electronic equipment, components, or systems

·         Applying knowledge of electronic theory and components to solve technical problems

·         Building, calibrating, maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing electrical instruments or testing equipment

·         Conducting or supervising the installation and operation of electronic equipment and systems

·         Preparing or reviewing project instructions or blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, and objectives

·         Reviewing electronics designs for errors or issues, making recommendations for improvements

·         Performing preventative maintenance or calibration of equipment or systems

·         Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects

·         Cooperating with electronic engineers or other technical personnel to identify and solve developmental problems

·         Responsible for cost estimation of materials and quantities.

·         Ordering necessary materials and parts for the completion of projects

Key Requirements:

·         Diploma in electronic engineering or relevant qualification.
However, 2-3 years of proven relevant experience can substitute for the qualification requirement.

·         Preferred Experience in technical drawing, electronic installation, and compliance

·         A firm grasp of PCB layouts, clusters, surrounds, and binnacle instruments

·         Attention to detail, safety-first attitude, and team player mindset

·         Must be available for rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays (When Required)
