We are looking for an experienced Payroll individual to join our client’s team supporting the payroll manager while they focus on the implementation of a new project. You will be responsible for processing fortnightly payroll for up to 650 employees.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Processing the payroll and managing leave
  • Completing payroll journals for financial reporting accurately, ensuring all data represent actual events
  • Ensuring all employee payroll data is loaded correctly, updated and maintained
  • Ensuring the payroll system, processes and procedures meet all regulatory compliance
  • Processing PAYE returns
  • Supporting HR Administration

Skills required for this role include:

  • Previous working knowledge of payroll and NZ payroll experience
  • Knowledge and interest of payroll related legislation
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Intermediate – Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Excellent computer literacy, with advanced competency in the MS Office Suite

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to work both on your own and in a team environment. Previous experience using PSE payroll would advantageous, however is not essential.
