We are looking for an experienced Payroll individual to join our client’s team supporting the payroll manager while they focus on the implementation of a new project. You will be responsible for processing fortnightly payroll for up to 650 employees.
Core responsibilities will include:
- Processing the payroll and managing leave
- Completing payroll journals for financial reporting accurately, ensuring all data represent actual events
- Ensuring all employee payroll data is loaded correctly, updated and maintained
- Ensuring the payroll system, processes and procedures meet all regulatory compliance
- Processing PAYE returns
- Supporting HR Administration
Skills required for this role include:
- Previous working knowledge of payroll and NZ payroll experience
- Knowledge and interest of payroll related legislation
- Strong data entry skills
- Intermediate – Advanced MS Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of confidentiality
- Excellent computer literacy, with advanced competency in the MS Office Suite
You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to work both on your own and in a team environment. Previous experience using PSE payroll would advantageous, however is not essential.
