Orana Motor Inn is seeking a carpenter to join our friendly hospitality team to assist with ongoing maintenance, repair, and improvement projects across our premises

Main duties: 

  • Interpret and work from building plans, drawings, and specifications.

  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join timber and other materials.

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures such as walls, floors, doors, windows, and furniture.

  • Maintain and repair interior and exterior wooden fixtures in guest rooms, reception areas, and common spaces.

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues.

  • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.

  • Collaborate with other maintenance and building professionals, as needed.

  • Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and Motor Inn policies.

 
 
Requirements:
At least 2 years related work experience
Good communication and listening skills
Able to handle heavy materials and tools 
Safety-conscious
Attention to detail
Reliable
Able to work independently
 
Work hours:
Minimum 30 hours/ week, Maximum 40 hours/week.
