Cake Passion in Flat Bush currently look for a hardworking and reliable Pastrycook to join us. Working hours is from 35 to 40 hours per week. Pay rate ranges from $30 to $32 per hour.  

Suitable candidates must have the following skills and attributes:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience.

  • Can work until 6.30pm; available to work on weekends and public holidays. 

  • Physically fit for heavy liftings or standing for extended periods.

  • Have strong multitasking and organizational skills.

  • Reliable and punctual, can work independently as well as in a team.

Your duties will include:

  • Check the cleanliness of food preparation area and baking equipment.

  • Check oven and baking equipment to ensure everything works well.

  • Check the quality of raw material, weight and measure ingredients. 

  • Knead, mature, cut, mould, mix and shape dough. 

  • Prepare fillings, sauces, cream, icing.

  • Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking time.

  • Remove baked goods from oven and cool baked goods.

  • Glaze buns and pastries, decorate cakes with cream and icing.

  • Perform any other related duties.
