Position Title: Carpenter
Salary Range: $29.00–$40.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Minimum Guaranteed Hours of Work: 30–40 hours per week
Location: Waikato and Auckland Regions, New Zealand
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of construction projects.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of three years of experience as a Carpenter in the New Zealand construction industry, or a relevant New Zealand Level 4 qualification in Carpentry (e.g., NZ Certificate in Carpentry).

• Thorough knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications.

• Strong understanding of the New Zealand Building Code and Health and Safety regulations.

• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour tasks.

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality work.

• A valid driver’s licence and own transport are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all aspects of carpentry work including framing, formwork, cladding, roofing, and finishing.

• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to determine materials and installation procedures.

• Measure, cut, and assemble timber and other materials accurately.

• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

• Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, contractors, and site supervisors.

• Ensure all work complies with NZ building codes and site safety standards.

• Maintain tools and workspaces in clean and safe condition.

• Complete projects within allocated timeframes and budgets.
