Join our dynamic construction team as a Fitout Manager overseeing complex commercial building projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll ensure all elements of the fitout contracts meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Develop and follow construction programmes
  • Coordinate and supervise all relevant subcontractors to meet quality and timing requirements as per the construction programme
  • Communicate and cooperate with clients and their representatives regarding all construction activities
  • Develop and/or implement Quality Inspection Plans and coordinate fitout elements across multiple subcontract packages
  • Review specifications, manage shop drawings, and conduct dimensional checks on structural interfaces
  • Navigate building consent conditions and manage compliance requirements for Code Compliance Certificates
  • Supervise health and safety practices, attend site meetings, and chair fitout coordination sessions
  • Manage subcontractor inspections, maintain progress documentation, and ensure quality assurance standards are met

 

We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in fitout management or commercial construction supervision
  • Strong understanding of NZ Building Code, consent processes, and construction systems
  • Ability to read architectural drawings, manage RFIs, and coordinate multiple trades
  • Excellent communication skills with attention to detail and proactive problem-solving approach
