Taipa Coffee & Bakery in Taipa, Northland region currently looks for two hardworking and reliable bakers. Working hours is from 30 to 40 hours per week. Pay rate ranges from $27 to $30 per hour, depending on level of skills and experience. 

Require skills and attributes:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience in commercial kitchen

  • Can start at 5am; available to work on weekends and public holidays 

  • Physically fit for heavy liftings and standing for extended periods

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Have strong multitasking skills and organisational skills

  • Reliable and punctual, able to work independently as well as in a team

Your duties will include:

  • Produce fresh breads, buns and doughs

  • Produce fresh sweets such as slides, sponges, muffins and cakes

  • Produce fresh pastries such as pies, tarts, sausage rolls

  • Manage presentation and decoration of baked goods

  • Monitor baking ovens

  • Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and workspace

  • Assess and improve any products when seen fit to do so

  • Liaise with manager on any concerns or suggestions

  • Performing any other related duties
