Painter/Hand Brush

Position Details:

• Location: Auckland
• Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
• Positions Available: 2

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 5 painters and work alongside the owner to complete projects on schedule and to a high standard that meet client needs.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, priming, and filling cracks or holes.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using various tools. 
• Execute spray painting with a high-quality finish.
• Operate a water blaster effectively.
• Installing floor and wall tiles.
• Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools.
• Ensure a safe, organized, and tidy work environment.
• Collaborate with team members 

Requirements and Skills:

• 10+ years’ full-time experience in residential painting in Auckland.
• Minimum 5 years leading a team of 5 or more professional painters. References required.
• Full NZ driver licence, own van, and complete set of professional painting tools.
• The ability to deliver the work within the given time frame.
• The ability to assess surfaces to determine the scope of work, estimate the time, paint, and materials required.
• Proficient in a wide range of painting techniques and methods.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Proficient in installing floor and wall tiles.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends as required.
• Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
